Operates and monitors oil, water and gas production and distribution facilities, typically Upstream facilities from wells to primary separation and processing, and Midstream distribution/storage facilities (pipelines/terminals). Monitors process variables, troubleshoots, and performs interventions to maintain operating performance.

Performs routine tasks independently. General supervision of non-routine work. Has basic knowledge of Chevron policies and practices

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Operates and monitors oil, water and gas production and distribution facilities.
  • Monitors process variables, troubleshoots, and performs interventions to maintain operating performance.
  • Receives close supervision only on non-routine and critical aspects of work.
  • General knowledge of Chevron policies and processes.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations related to production operations.
  • Continuous progress towards achieving A competency.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1-year current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries.
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends and holidays of assigned work schedule and overtime based on workload.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good safety record and have the ability to drive a company vehicle.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years' current related experience in unconventional oil and gas operations.
  • Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production-related issues.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
  • Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, SCADA, and an aptitude for learning new software packages.
  • Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision

  • The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $40.35. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
