How You Will Contribute:- Deploy medium to large-scale EF&I projects with medium/high complexity, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and Ciena quality standards.
- Manage customer expectations, communications, escalations, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
- Drive quality across all aspects of project services, from site and network engineering through installation, testing, and readiness for service.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective deployment activities.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, financials, risks, and issues, ensuring transparency and alignment with project management plans.
- Coach and guide junior team members to meet project deliverables and contribute to team success.
The Must Haves:- A technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification preferred (required within one year of hire).
- Minimum of 10 years of telecommunications industry operational experience and/or project implementation.
- Minimum of 8 years in a lead role managing medium to large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
The Assets:- Subsea deployment experience is a strong advantage.
- Business and financial management skills, particularly in project-level P&L.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing critical tasks and resources.
- Familiarity with Ciena's products and technologies is a plus.
Pay Range: The annual pay range for this position in the USA is $96,900- $154,700 USD
The annual pay range for this position in Canada is $89,100 - $142,300 CAD
