Field Service Superintendent Posting Start Date: 9/21/26 Requisition ID: 37006 Onsite or Remote: Onsite Position Job Overview Key Job Responsibilities • Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis. • Lead service crews to ensure that work is done safely, efficiently, and cost effectively. • Lead major machine jobs, inspection and audit teams. • Lay out and perform complex repairs with a high level of accuracy and quality. • Assess equipment repair needs and develop repair processes. • Work in a diverse team environment. • Work efficiently and productively at all times to maintain a billable rate according to department and company objectives. • Plan and manage major machine repairs. Work with shift leads, supervisors and planners to maximize project efficiency. • Lead machine audits, gather data, compile reports and deliver findings and recommended repairs to customers. • Provide input or draft procedures, installation guidelines, test procedures, or similar technical documentation for mechanical, welding and machining functions. • Apply mechanical/welding/machining engineering theory and related practical knowledge to troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend actions to safely return faulted, damaged, rebuilt, or shutdown equipment to operation. Qualifications/Requirements • Current MSHA, valid driver license and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical job requirements. • Consistently promotes the Komatsu Safety First attitude. • Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule to include day shift, night shift, weekend, and holiday assignment as well as day and overnight travel. • Strong skills set in the following areas: troubleshooting, organization, time management, conflict management, and problem solving. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate with the customer to address general requests. • Comfortable with MS Word, projects and Excel. • Ability to collect and analyze data. Ability to prepare formal reports on findings and supply recommendations. • Advanced understanding of technical specification, blueprint & schematic reading. • Intermediate financial and business acumen.
