Job Overview

The Product Specialist and Reliability Engineer III supports Tier 4 Regional Product Support teams by applying reliability analysis to identify, organize, categorize, and analyze potential product issues from a global perspective.

This role serves as a liaison among regional Product Support teams, Subject Matter Experts, distributors, and other stakeholders to help ensure product issues are communicated, escalated, and resolved efficiently. The position also develops and maintains processes, procedures, and communication practices related to issue escalation, case management, technical documentation, knowledge management, and Field Campaigns for the Product Support shovel and wheel loader team.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support Tier 4 Regional Product Support teams in identifying potential product issues through the application of reliability analysis.
  • Organize, categorize, and analyze regional product issues while considering global trends and impacts.
  • Lead the product issue resolution process and develop procedures for issue escalation within the Product Support shovel and wheel loader team.
  • Manage product support cases, technical documentation, knowledge base content, procedures, and processes.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create and deploy Field Campaigns that support local mitigation efforts and final countermeasures.
  • Provide regular updates to Product Support, regional teams, and distributors regarding Product Issue Tracker status, research and development activities, testing, final countermeasures, metrics, and deployment schedules.
  • Evaluate local issue resolutions and provide information that may support the design of final countermeasures.
  • Serve as a regional Service Engineer substitute, as needed, to assist with workload backlogs or absences.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in reliability engineering, quality engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience and training in statistical analysis and reliability analysis methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and regions of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with international company representatives.
  • Direct product knowledge and experience with mining equipment preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15-20%.
