About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Service Manager to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment across multiple client sites. The ideal candidate will possess solid technical expertise and strong leadership abilities, managing a team of field technicians, optimizing service processes, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This position requires frequent site visits, coordination with engineering and operations teams, and the ability to address complex technical and operational challenges efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for the EMS field service operations, including budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to support client projects and technical proposals.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex field service issues
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field service technicians specializing in electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Plan, assign, and optimize work orders, routes, and schedules to maximize efficiency and meet service deadlines.
  • Coordinate installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex field service issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts usage, and site documentation.
  • Analyze performance metrics, including first-time fix rates, system uptime, and response times, and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure service satisfaction and promote additional service opportunities.
  • Conduct site audits, field inspections, and on-the-job training for technicians.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, review cost efficiency, and ensure profitability of service operations.
  • Analyze performance metrics, including first-time fix rates, system uptime, and response times, and implement process improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience in field services may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in field service management or equivalent technical supervision role supporting electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, PLCs, motor controls, power distribution, and industrial equipment.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, performance management, and personnel development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Proficient in field service management software, CRM systems, and route optimization tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and management.
  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel extensively to client sites.
  • Familiarity with industry certifications (NICET, CET, Journeyman/Master Electrician, PMP / CSM certification a plus).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage operations across multiple sites.

  • Experience in project management, equipment commissioning, and technical training.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance for industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing budgets, service KPIs, and operational performance analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with predictive maintenance technologies, IoT-enabled devices, and emerging field service technologies.
