Field Service Engineer - Electromechanical & PLC Controls
Location: Southeast Region (OK, AR, TX, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC)
Join Honeywell Intelligrated - a global leader in warehouse automation and material handling solutions. We're seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide top-tier support to our customers' distribution centers. You'll travel extensively (up to 95%) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of electromechanical systems, including conveyors, robotic applications, sortation systems, palletizers, and PLC controls.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and PLC-based equipment (Allen Bradley, Modicon, etc.)
- Provide on-site customer support, including emergency service calls, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
- Use your expertise to program, modify, and debug PLC code and robotic applications.
- Train and mentor field service technicians on equipment and controls.
- Develop and submit detailed service reports, including program updates and drawings.
- Work independently and with teams to complete projects efficiently and on time.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of expert-level PLC programming skills (Allen Bradley and other PLC systems).
- 3+ years of strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- 3+ years of electro-mechanical field service experience.
- 3+ years of MS Office products and Operating Systems (i.e. Windows XP).
- Valid Driver's license.
- Reliable transportation to a major airport (Must be within a One Hour commute of nearest airport).
- Willingness to travel 95% of the time throughout the Southeast United States
WE VALUE
- Technical degree and/or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, electronics or similar.
- Honeywell Intelligrated material handling equipment maintenance experience.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
