Responsibilities

  • Perform technical functions supporting engineering activities, such as troubleshooting and repair of electronics systems
  • Evaluate components, subsystems, test equipment, and software
  • Provide technical support to Air Force customers for communications and surveillance equipment
  • Conduct aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and equipment testing
  • Support aircraft flight tests and engineering evaluations of new systems
  • Assist in training junior electronics technicians and Air Force personnel
  • Deploy worldwide with AFSOC personnel for exercise and contingency operations

Full Job Description
Description
  • Performing a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, test, modification, assembly, and maintenance and repair of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment
  • Evaluating components, subsystems, test equipment, and software
  • Providing technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment
  • Performing aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment
  • Supporting aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations
  • Assisting in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks
  • Deploying worldwide with AFSOC personnel in support of exercise and contingency operations including hostile environments

Requirements
  • Minimum of four years aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent DoD SIGINT experience

  • Mustbe able to operate as a single maintainer at either CONUS or OCONUS locations to include hostile areas

Desired Skills
  • Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems. Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
  • Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
  • Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL.

Travel Requirements
  • CONUS TDYs and OCONUS deployment - 50-75% travel
