Full Job Description
Location: REMOTE
Travel Requirement: Up to 80%
Salary Range: $42.00 - $48.00 per hour

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of IWK at customer sites, delivering expert service, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of our advanced packaging equipment. Your work ensures optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and high customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, start up, maintain, and repair IWK equipment on-site, with full documentation.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues; provide detailed service reports and corrective actions.
  • Optimize equipment performance through fine-tuning and process adjustments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to share field data and drive product improvements.
  • Serve as the primary technical representative, maintaining professional communication and customer relationships.
  • Investigate complaints, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.

  • Plan and execute daily work schedules efficiently.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
  • Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Factory Automation, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical environments, ideally with automated or packaging equipment.
  • Military veterans with equivalent technical training and field experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


Technical Skills
  • Proven expertise in servicing automated equipment (mechanical, electrical, controls).
  • Experience with Schneider Electric control systems and function block programming is highly desirable.
  • Basic understanding of PLC logic and HMI interfaces.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with remote troubleshooting tools (e.g., TeamViewer, NetSupport Manager).


Professional Skills
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable working remotely via VPN, intranet, and cloud-based tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

  • Valid passport and driver's license required.
