Location: Northeast District (Must live within a one-hour commute of a major metro area in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or Massachusetts.)
Candidates must reside within one hour of a major metropolitan area in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or Massachusetts to support regional business needs and travel requirements as needed.
Area Manager II

NCR Atleos is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager II to lead service operations across the Washington, DC market. In this role, you will oversee a large field organization of 100-150+ employees through a team of Territory Managers while managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional service performance.

This position is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building high-performing teams, and has a passion for operational improvement and customer success.

As an Area Manager, you will operate as a business leader responsible for service delivery, employee engagement, financial performance, and customer satisfaction across a multi-state service territory.

What You'll Do
Operational Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day field service operations across a designated geographic region.
  • Ensure execution of company policies, procedures, service standards, and operational objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze operational trends and implement strategies that improve service delivery and business performance.
Team Development & Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Managers responsible for field service technicians.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Support employee performance management, talent development, and workforce planning initiatives.
Customer & Business Partnership
  • Serve as a senior operational partner for customers within the assigned region.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Support and cross-functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Build strong customer relationships that support retention and long-term business growth.
Financial & Business Management
  • Own regional operational performance, including productivity, labor utilization, and cost management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining service excellence.
  • Manage regional budgets and expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Evaluate data, performance metrics, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
Continuous Improvement & Quality
  • Conduct field observations and operational reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement corrective actions and process enhancements to improve technician effectiveness and customer outcomes.
  • Lead regional projects and initiatives that align with NCR Atleos business objectives.
  • Partner with Field Service Delivery Training teams to support learning and development programs.
Vendor Management
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure service commitments, quality standards, and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor vendor performance and negotiate solutions when service expectations are not met.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all service operations.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, or large operational teams.
  • Experience leading multi-site field service, operations, logistics, facilities, technical service, or service delivery organizations.
  • Proven success managing operational performance through KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost controls.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and lead through multiple levels of management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience leading large distributed service organizations of 100+ employees.
  • Background in field service, technology services, ATM services, banking technology, telecommunications, logistics, or related industries.
  • Project leadership and change management experience.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
