Job Description

Field Marketing Manager – Deep Brain Therapies

Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic, field-driven marketing leader to join Abbott’s Brain Therapies team as a Field Marketing Manager supporting the U.S. Deep Brain Therapies portfolio.

In this highly visible role, you will act as the critical bridge between Sales and Marketing, translating national strategy into impactful regional execution. You will partner closely with field teams, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and cross-functional stakeholders to drive therapy adoption, account growth, and market development.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working directly with customers, and brings both clinical credibility and commercial acumen to advance neuromodulation therapies.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead field execution of strategic marketing initiatives to achieve revenue, growth, and market penetration goals across DBS.

  • Serve as the voice of marketing in the field, ensuring alignment between national strategy and regional needs.

  • Partner with sales teams to ensure effective deployment of products, programs, and educational initiatives to HCPs and patients.

  • Design and execute regionally tailored marketing campaigns based on local market dynamics.

  • Analyze performance metrics (e.g., account growth, program effectiveness, win/loss trends) and optimize strategies accordingly.

  • Drive patient and physician engagement programs, including partnerships with Patient Advocacy Groups.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, top accounts, and industry stakeholders.

  • Lead local marketing initiatives end-to-end, including planning, execution, measurement, and optimization.

  • Translate data and insights into actionable strategies to improve targeting, messaging, and program ROI.

  • Provide competitive intelligence and field insights to inform product marketing and commercial strategy.

  • Support local launches and limited market releases, including reporting and performance tracking.

  • Engage in continuous market learning through customer visits, conferences, and research.

  • Ensure compliance with all FDA regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

  • Travel up to 50% (domestic).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or technology-based products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical device industry, particularly with complex, technology-driven portfolios.

  • Familiarity with hospital workflows and systems, including exposure to imaging ecosystems such as PACS.

  • Advanced degree preferred (PhD strongly preferred) with ability to engage credibly in clinical and technical discussions.

  • Demonstrated success designing and executing scalable marketing programs across diverse customer segments.

  • Strong customer-facing presence, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional organization.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of ownership, initiative, and resourcefulness.

  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders, including budget ownership and milestone tracking.

  • Analytical proficiency with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with ability to translate data into strategy.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and execute in a fast-paced, evolving environment
