Full Job Description
As a Field Electronics Technician IV in our Specialty Welding and Machining division, will administrate and implement authored work plans. You will provide management of field electrical services at remote sites, utilizing high technology services in a manner reflecting the Specialty Welding and Machining team's commitment to the highest levels of safety and quality.

You will travel extensively (50%-80%), work with hazardous materials, and be subject to requirements for customer security, unescorted access, and fitness for duty programs.

You will report to the Manager of Field Service Operations. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Your Day to Day:
  • All expectations of a Level III Electronics Technician.
  • Lead and direct all project resources and needs including personnel, training, equipment, vendors, and sub-contractors.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting, overhaul, and calibration for major welding power supply systems (e.g. Gold Track 2,5,6), EDM machining equipment, and T1 and T2 canister related equipment.
  • Coordinate communications between specialty welding and machining, customers, site management, and personnel.
  • Complete all technical and commercial aspects of contracts on the job site per agreed time frame. Document all change orders and work scope.
  • Prepare shift and daily status reports for the specialty welding and machining, site and customer(s) management.
  • Ensure personal and team practice and understanding of ALARA principles and a "Safety First" attitude.
  • Maintain a safe and ethical work environment as mandated by regulatory agencies, specialty welding and machining procedures, and customer(s) requirements.
  • Be the subject matter expert (SME) to develop training and lesson plans and oversee program implementation.
  • Provide or obtain technical and management assistance to field personnel.
  • Develop and deliver performance feedback on personnel to management for specific projects or work assignments.


Who You Are:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Five (5) years documented electronic experience in field construction.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in electrical/electronics, machining or welding operations.
  • Evidence of maintenance and troubleshooting of portable electrical, welding or machining equipment required.
  • Education and certifications maybe substituted for experience.


We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be 79,129.44 to $95,721.60 per year.
