The Opportunity
The Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As a Field Applications Specialist you will:

  • Acting as the primary liaison/customer representative throughout the implementation process and futurehistology application support, Includes planning and coordination for the implementation and customertraining, as well as problem-solving issues that arise for customers throughout the life cycle of the solution.

  • Provide highly visible, self-supervised and self-directed, extensive on-site advisory customer support throughthe implementation of Roche Tissue instrumentation and tailored customer training on our Roche solutions tomeet customer needs based on an individualized assessment of the customer27s personnel, organizationalstructure, workflow, and maximization of equipment capabilities, which may include: equipment, applications, systems, and IT solutions.

  • Act as an advisor on customer issues and drive efficiencies & optimization for the customer and Rochethrough independent analysis and problem-solving. Additionally, will be responsible for increased salesrevenue by identifying opportunities for new system consumables for clients (i.e. reagents, primary antibodies,bio-markers, software).Performs these job duties remotely and independently.

  • Advanced and specialized knowledge generally of a particular area, system, or equipment with regard totechnologically advanced instruments and scientific applications. Requires specific training and certification.

  • Utilizes independent judgment and discretion in the analysis of customer particularized needs and issues thatarise both during and after the implementation process. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment,and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Independently analyzes and resolvesmost customer questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.

  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectivesthrough daily actions.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this highly responsible position.

The ideal candidate for this role will reside in Long Island, NY.
This is a field-based role on a national team - the primary territory is New York and out of state travel is expected for this position.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor27s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology or Clinical Laboratory or equivalent work experience.

  • 3 + years of experience implementing and evaluating complex laboratory, IT products, medical diagnostic equipment, reagents and/or systems.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Pharma, Academia and research with Roche Discovery products

  • Ability to learn and remain current on Roche solutions across various fields, including histology and discovery ultra

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with project management experience.

  • Strong customer consultative skills, including advanced scientific knowledge, exceptional customer engagement, and the ability to foster strong customer relationships.


The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New York City/Long Island $73,100.00 - $135,700.00 USD Annual.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
