Full Job Description
As the Field Applications Engineering leader for Advanced Industry, you are a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for driving exceptional growth, fostering customer excellence, and developing a high-performing team. Your role will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategies to achieve sales targets, deepen our technical engagements, enhance customer satisfaction, and elevate the company's technical position in all markets we serve. Your leadership and vision will play a pivotal role in accelerating success and contributing to the company's ongoing achievements. This position will be fully remote in the United States. What You'll Do: • Talent Development: Develop a high-performing applications team through systematic talent development strategies. Coach, mentor, and guide team members to foster their professional growth and enhance their skills, contributing to the overall success of the organization and leading to "Trusted Technical Advisor" with our major customers. • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive field application strategy with peers and business stakeholders that will drive growth opportunities. • Design Win Growth: Drive design win growth above industry standards by setting ambitious targets and identifying new business opportunities. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and adaptability to capture untapped potential. • Account Relationships: Foster and nurture technical relationships with major accounts with a CTO mindset together with the management team members. Collaborate cross-functionally (segment leaders, account managers, factory engineering and product management) to ensure we exceed customer expectations and consistently deliver unmatched value • Customer Excellence: Establish and maintain benchmark customer excellence processes. Participate in customer meetings, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service, timely support, and tailored solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. • Performance Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to monitor, measure, and report on applications performance. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to guide informed decision-making. • Budget Management: Take ownership of budget planning and management for the field applications function. Optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve financial objectives. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Physics with 5 or more years of applications experience in the area of advanced manufacturing (Solar, Battery, etc), commercial semiconductor manufacturing process, industrial HVAC manufacturing, or relevant field. Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Physics is desirable. • Ability and drive to develop a strong understanding of customer applications and have the ability to think outside the box • Ability to adapt to various field situations and to foster strong relationships with internal and external customers • Travel is up to 35% or when needed. (Domestic and International) Additional Information Total on target compensation:$170,000 - $207,000 Your total cash compensation is structured for performance and growth, with earning potential that includes a base salary of $120,000 - $145,000, in addition to a commission + profit sharing model for an additional 30% target of your total compensation. Additional benefits include an 8% 401k match, potential car and remote allowances, and a comprehensive benefits package.
