Role and ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine, a vibrant group of 62 faculty members led by the nationally recognized Dr. William Mahle. The role blends clinical excellence with academic leadership, with duties including:
- Clinical Care: Delivering exceptional fetal echocardiography, routine transthoracic echocardiography, and consultative services in outpatient clinics and nurseries.
- Academic Mission: Actively engaging in cutting-edge research and scholarly initiatives that push the boundaries of pediatric cardiology and fetal imaging. We expect a commitment to publishing, presenting, and securing grants.
- Innovation: Developing and implementing novel approaches to clinical practice, research, and education to improve patient outcomes and advance the field.
Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a physician who has completed a categorical fellowship and advanced imaging training, holding or being eligible for board certification in pediatric cardiology. Beyond these qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess a forward-thinking mindset and a proven track record of excellence. Minimum Qualifications:- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
- Advanced Imaging Training in echocardiography, with a special focus on fetal cardiac imaging.
- Licensure: Eligible for a medical license in the State of Georgia.
- Academic Engagement: Demonstrable experience or strong interest in scholarly research and publications.
