Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Federation/Integration Engineer/UI to design, build, and maintain secure integrations between the Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform and key enterprise systems, including ID.me, ServiceNow, and the ELK Stack.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with expertise in APIs, identity federation, middleware development, and observability who thrives in a mission-driven federal environment. You will design, develop, and support critical integrations that enable identity verification, automated service management, and real-time monitoring for millions of users.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain secure integrations with ID.me using OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, JWT, and PKCE
- Develop and support ServiceNow integrations using Scripted REST APIs, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Import Sets, and MID Servers
- Build REST APIs, middleware services, and data transformation workflows
- Configure and maintain ELK Stack pipelines, dashboards, monitoring, and alerting
- Create secure, scalable data exchanges between IAM, ServiceNow, and observability platforms
- Troubleshoot complex cross-system integration issues and production incidents
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate with security, engineering, architecture, and product teams in an Agile environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years with a Highschool degree
- 5 years of experience in integration engineering, API development, or middleware development
- 2+ years of experience with IAM or identity platforms such as ID.me, Okta, ForgeRock, or Ping Identity
- Experience developing ServiceNow integrations and workflows
- Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) pipelines and dashboards
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML, web services, and API security
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and their integration with ELK-based pipelines
- Strong UI/Usability experience
- Experience with OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, JWT, and federated identity architectures
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Java, PowerShell, or Shell scripting
- Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, and federal security compliance frameworks
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow, Elastic, Security+, CISSP, or cloud certifications
- Experience with MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Workato, or other iPaaS platforms
- Knowledge of AWS GovCloud or Azure Government
- Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Zero Trust architectures
- Prior support of federal IAM, cybersecurity, or ITSM programs
Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
