ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a
Federal Property Manager to join our team supporting the
Hanford Site! This position is full-time and will be based out of Richland, Washington.
Responsibilities- Perform reviews of DOE and Contractor procedures to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Perform regulatory reviews to determine applicable property requirements and provide recommendations regarding compliance to these requirements.
- Assist Federal team with annual or periodic Property Management System Analysis (PMSA), to include a systematic objective review and evaluation of the Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) property management system.
- Complete tracking and reporting of DOE HFO property passes, to include notifications of property pass issuance and expiration.
- Assist in planning, preparation, and completion of reports for identification, protection, and preservation of government property.
- Prepare status reports on program direction and execution relating to meeting property management laws and regulations and evaluates fiscal performance.
- Work closely with HMIS property management staff and SSD management to understand and address issues.
- Assist with overview of HMESC contract performance regarding property management activities to provide performance evaluation input and provide adequacy assessments on the work provided.
- Make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies for business processes and systems.
- Provide other assistance as requested by the HFO Technical Point of Contact, to include responding to urgent requests as needed.
- Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
Requirements- Education & Years of Experience - Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Citizenship - To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
- Clearance - To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities.
- Extensive experience using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and/or other MS Office tools.
- The contractor shall maintain proficiencies in HGET following the training period.
Desired Skills- Proven ability to interface successfully with senior level management.
- Ability to work with government, regulatory agencies, and contractor personnel to problem solve and formulate strategies for success.
- Working level knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of federal and state regulations, to include the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
About the SiteThe Hanford Site, located within a 580-square-mile section of semi-arid desert in Richland, Washington, was established in 1943 as part of the Manhattan Project to produce plutonium for national defense. Here, the DOE focuses on environmental restoration, waste management, scientific and environmental research and development of radioactive waste technologies. Under the Tri-Party Agreement, lower-level hazardous wastes are buried in huge, lined pits that will be sealed and monitored with sophisticated instruments for many years (https://energy.gov).
