The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking an Electronics Engineering Senior Manager to lead the D5LE Sustainment efforts for the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

This leader will manage a team of electrical and software engineers that is responsible for refreshing and sustaining the designs of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for the FBM D5LE program.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Functional management of a large organization of managers, associate managers, electrical and software engineers.
• Primary responsibility for the technical execution of new designs of support equipment systems through the full development lifecycle as part of the continuous support equipment refresh process.
• Leading the sustainment and acting as the technical authority over a multitude of unique support equipment (ATE) systems fielded throughout the U.S.
• Partnering the program management team to ensure projects are executed within cost and schedule.
• Working with program management and our Navy partners to plan and prioritize the long-term plan for refreshing support equipment designs.
• Developing proposals for the execution of new designs and sustainment efforts.
• Leading continuous process improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of the design process.

To be effective in this role, you will need:
• Strong technical background in analog and/or digital engineering along with project leadership experience throughout the engineering life cycle.

Manages more than one technical engineering and science organization. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in a technical engineering discipline.
• Previous functional management experience over a multi-disciplinary team.
• Design experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Analog, Digital, RF, or Software.
• Technical background and project leadership experience in developing and sustaining military hardware.
• Experience developing and managing a project budget and schedule, managing risks and opportunities, and managing to metrics.
• Proposal experience for development contracts.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required.

• Familiarity with the Fleet Ballistic Missile program
• Experience developing and sustaining Automated Test Equipment.
• Experience working SSP Naval contracts
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong business acumen.
• Existing active clearance.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $158700.00 - $294700.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
