About this role:

Burlington Memorial Gardens and Bayview Cemetery & Crematorium, located in Burlington, Ontario are currently recruiting a full-time Pre-Planning Sales Representative to join our Sales Offices.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for promoting funeral and cemetery pre-planning options within the community.

We are looking to fill this position with a qualified, action-oriented and self-motivated individual who is capable of prioritizing and handling multiple demands simultaneously.

You will receive outstanding paid training, company benefits, a generous merit-based pay structure, and a structured bonus program, in addition to incentive-based contests for top performance.

Job Type:Full Time, Permanent

This is a current vacancy and we are actively recruiting to fill this role.

Compensation: Commission-only with $17.60/hr guaranteed until commission is earned. Commission payouts will be reduced by total hourly wages paid. Net annual earnings typically range between $70,000-$120,000.

Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:
  • Possesses a valid Class 1 Ontario Funeral Director's license or Funeral Pre-Planner's license.
  • Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences and a strong discipline for working in a customer-centric service organization. Experience in business development, sales and customer success is an asset.
  • Willing to demonstrate active community involvement and establish a positive profile of the cemetery and funeral home within the community.
  • Highly focused on achieving and exceeding sales results and ensuring full compliance of all federal and provincial regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates ability to build strong partnerships with other Centres of Excellence to achieve Company revenue goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Working various lead sources, contacting and visiting client families to assess pre-arrangement needs.
  • Generating lead sources by following-up on all referrals, walk-ins and mail drops, working with at-need families to promote the after-care program.
  • Presenting to community organizations, arranging and hosting seminars and mall shows, notifying agencies and special groups about the benefits of pre-planning.
  • Establishing and organizing programs and seminars at the funeral home, with guest speakers and arranges co-sponsors of the seminars and programs.
  • Ensuring all contracts are accurately completed, required signatures are obtained, copies are forwarded to appropriate parties and that files are maintained.
  • Participating in funeral home and cemetery staff and management meetings, communicates regularly with all funeral home and cemetery staff to obtain and provide information on the families served or new lead sources.
  • Other duties or special projects as required.
