Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities include providing medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients; completing accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR); participating in and supporting quality assurance initiatives; maintaining strict patient confidentiality; fostering positive communication among staff and patients; and participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred. Other clinical experience may be substituted. Ability to obtain proficiency in the Center's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
LICENSURE:
Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland; Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration; Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
OTHER:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT:
PHYSICAL:
Minimum to intermediate physical effort required. Position involves sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting occasional heavy objects with assistance, carrying, manual dexterity, and pushing and pulling. Duties frequently require extended periods of walking. Must be able to pass required vision and hearing screenings.
MENTAL:
Frequent periods of concentration and attention to detail, with regular opportunities for task diversification.
SENSORY:
Must be able to effectively communicate in spoken English and possess the ability to read and write in English.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a modern, well-equipped healthcare environment. Daily interaction with fellow employees, patients, family members, and physicians is required. Potential exposure to infectious diseases, viruses, and other health-related hazards may occur.

$109,726-$159,103 + any other compensation offered
