This position is responsible for the provision of primary medical care to patients in the Family Clinics. May work in more than one clinic location, and the work hours may vary and include weekends and evenings. Advance practice nursing services are provided in accordance with professional practice guidelines and the State Board of Registered Nursing. As a senior member of the clinic staff, the nurse practitioner is responsible for providing leadership to the clinic staff and participating in performance improvement activities. This position has Exempt status.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
1. Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program and MSN degree required.
2. Possess the knowledge and skills required to meet Redlands Community Hospital medical staff criteria, and must be appointed to the medical staff.
3. Three years of professional work experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient primary care setting or related clinical area preferred.
4. Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
1. Current, valid and unrestricted California registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner license required.
2. Furnishing number/license required.
3. Current DEA certificate required.
4. Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
5. National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner required (AANP or ANCC).
