Overview

St. Mary's Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our expanding primary care team. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in an established, patient-centered medical home. As a vital part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Family Medicine Physician will play a key role in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and fostering strong patient-provider relationships.

Gloversville Family Health Center provides comprehensive adult primary care to residents throughout Fulton, Montgomery, and Hamilton counties, with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine and chronic disease management. The practice is both an NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home and an NHSC-approved site, and providers working at this location will have the opportunity to earn a rural site bonus.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on preventive care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and patient goals.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Perform minor office-based procedures, such as suturing, skin lesion removal, and joint injections (if applicable).
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and treatments in family medicine.

Qualifications:

Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York

Preferred Experience - Prior experience in an outpatient primary care setting is beneficial but not required.

Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution

Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary - $250,000
  • Competitive compensation package, including base salary + sign-on bonus and semiannual bonus eligibility for productivity.
