Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne Factory Applications group is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and self-driven engineer to join our Silicon Photonics product team. You will work on projects collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the company, as well as developing imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions separately.

In this position, we are looking for someone who can leverage their experience into a multifaceted technical leadership role - being an expert in our products for outbound activities and representing the broad user base for inbound new product development.

  • Leading member of product development teams with engineering, representing the broad user base -defining use cases and requirements, and performing post-implementation validation. Responsibility is to ensure we are implementing the right things to meet market expectations with competitive solutions.
  • Participate in key design-ins acting as expert consultant, ensuring technical success, at times taking on the role of project technical leader.
  • Provide expert guidance to our field applications and direct customers in development of successful test solutions
  • Develop and deliver technical marketing presentations with clear and effective messaging
  • Co-develop user documentation and training for new products and features
  • Continually develop deep expert knowledge of our products and use models
  • Continually develop knowledge of semiconductor/Silicon Photonics test requirements and trends
  • Develop strong relationships with worldwide account teams and key customers.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on semiconductor device testing.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) - specifically the UltraFLEXplus family of Teradyne testers - with a focus on our Silicon Photonics and Software product area, with addition of Digital, Serial and DC products as projects require.
  • Support customers in tester operation and capability.
  • Develop strong customer relationships at a technical level, to gain a deeper insight into the current usage and future direction of our products.
  • Evaluate problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platforms to optimize customer throughput and test quality.
  • Work directly with customer test engineers to understand and improve their test processes.
  • Work closely with the Teradyne engineering community on new product development - from requirements definition to product release to market and continued thru customer support.
  • Work closely to learn how to help define PCB development including Schematic and Layout requirements.

  • Bachelors degree with 4+ years' experience in EE or related fields.
  • Masters or higher degree with 2-3 years of experience in EE or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (Silicon Photonics, digital communications and signal processing, power delivery, signal processing, RF device technology and testing a plus).
  • Proficient with general software programming (preferred .NET - C#, VB and Python) and common algorithms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team and on your own - planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills - a commitment to teamwork and "can-do" spirit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver clear and effective presentations on complex topics.
  • Can work under high pressure with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Basic knowledge about semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or testing is a plus.


This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $126,800 to 202,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
