Job DescriptionClean Harbors in Breslau, Ontario, is currently looking for a Facility Operations Supervisor to join their safety-conscious team!. This role is responsible for front line leadership supervision of plant operations including refinery operations and wastewater operations depending on the department. Position includes supervision and direction of multiple plant employees.
Responsibilities- Performs supervision of department and site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, refinery operations, tank farm operations, and wastewater treatment.
- Supervises and mentors multiple operators and plant operations.
- Acts as the recognized subject matter expert and point of contact in their area(s) of responsibility.
- Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other site-specific policies and procedures and holds employees accountable when they do not.
- Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
- Write and issue work permits and ensure that work groups conduct permitted work in a safe and timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.
- May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.

- Initiative in problem solving and identification of hazards.
- Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's), apply the SOPs, and suggest improvements when necessary.
- Proficiency in Windows based applications (Word, Excel).
- Plant operations experience or relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
- Plant supervision experience.
- Proficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations.
- All employees within the operations department are required to be clean shaven at all times and must be able to pass a mask fit test. The operations department employees are considered first responders in emergency situations, and a candidate must be comfortable performing in emergency situations.
