The Facilities/Plant Engineer will be responsible for providing and integrating process support systems and building systems with manufacturing process equipment. The selected individual will interact with manufacturing, maintenance, various engineering groups, finance, purchasing, production control, equipment suppliers and contractors to develop process support systems that meet Stellantis Industrial System (SIS)/lean methodology, within the program timeline and within the budgeted finances. Assignments in a traditional plant engineering environment include project management, plant layout development, equipment strip-out and installation, general construction, material control, controls, electrical systems, mechanical systems, ventilation systems, piping systems, and scope and specification writing.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related engineering field and 2 years of experience in manufacturing, OR high school diploma / GED and 10 years related experience in manufacturing
- Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft office products and operating computer systems
- Must be able to work off shifts, weekends and holidays as required
- Knowledgeable in facility infrastructure and process equipment
- Experience developing business cases using Benefit Cost Analysis to support investment forecasts
- Strong project management skills
- Proven record of applying problem solving techniques, root cause analysis and implementing corrective action
- Ability to prepare schedule of activities and deliverables and use tracking charts to show progress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Excellent people skills and able to work within a team
- Understanding of machining, assembly, automation, robotics, test processes and procedures
