Summary

LEGENDS GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Facility Engineer for LEGENDS Global Stockton in Stockton, CA who is responsible for all aspects of maintenance in the facilities. Ensures that all facility equipment at sites, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical plants; lighting and climate control systems; roofing systems; telecommunications, food service and maintenance / cleaning equipment is operating properly and efficiently, and maintained in good condition. Oversees general facility maintenance; and proper delivery of event-related utility services. Performs the following duties personally or through a subordinate:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensures proper and efficient operation of central Building Management System (BMS)
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures; diagnose root cause and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain the environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities for event days, non-event days, and off days of all sites under Stockton Complex.
  • Oversees preventative maintenance of all Stockton Complex sites.
  • Repair, rebuild or replacement of various items such as electric motors, combustion engines, compressors, HVAC units, and pumps, etc.
  • Operates auxiliary supply systems when necessary, including but not limited to generators, battery backup systems, automatic transfer switches, fire pumps, etc.
  • Operate equipment such as industrial trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, scrubbing machines or other power-driven equipment.
  • Conduct routine rounds to inspect mechanical rooms, rooftops, and common areas; identify hazards and service needs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) inspections and complete work orders using company systems such as Altum; document findings, parts used, and labor hours.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and alarms; participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Facilitates compliance with Cal OSHA, NFPA and all other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provides technical support, oversees and/or assists with repairs and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors (HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, elevators, janitorial); verify scope completion and quality.
  • Ensures adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
  • Maintain inventory of critical spares and tools; recommend replacements and improvements.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Facility Engineering & Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with LEGENDS GLOBAL's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
  • Associates, Trade Licensed (like HVAC tech, or Electrical license), OR 5+ years of experience in facilities, building engineering, or commercial/industrial maintenance.
  • Specific licensing in the trades (plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
  • Cal OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training; familiarity with NFPA and local code requirements.

  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sufficient computer skills to operate BMS / other automated systems. Applicant should have working knowledge of normal business applications such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Adobe, et cetera.

  • Requires ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $35/hour - $42/hour depending on experience.
