Pay: $85,000 - $90,000 per year

Location: Chatham Hall, Chatham, VA 24531 (100% On-site)
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (Approx. 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) | On-call for campus emergencies & select weekend events (e.g., Graduation, Move-in)
Requirements: Strong mechanical background (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), proven team leadership experience, valid driver's license

What You'll Do As our
Facility Director (also known as
Director of Facilities or
Facilities Manager), you will lead all day-to-day campus operations for a prestigious boarding school in Chatham, VA. You will oversee a team of maintenance, janitorial, and landscaping staff, direct third-party contractors, and manage capital projects.
Key responsibilities- Leading and holding accountable a dedicated team handling maintenance, housekeeping, and landscaping.
- Serving as the primary mechanical expert troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
- Communicating proactively with campus leadership and ensuring prompt follow-through on all work orders and projects.
- Managing seasonal operations, including campus snow removal and special event prep.
What You Bring To The Team- Strong hands-on technical background in mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Demonstrated capability to direct, motivate, and hold a multidisciplinary team accountable.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
