How you make a difference

The Facility Coordinator oversees the daily coordination of healthcare services within the facility and supervises assigned medical staff. Working closely with custody staff, the Coordinator ensures timely access to care and effective scheduling. The role includes conducting sick calls, responding to emergency calls, and reviewing grievances. Additional responsibilities involve supervising nursing shifts, managing inventory and supplies, and performing quality assurance audits. The Facility Coordinator may also support hiring, onboarding, training, and staff evaluations while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily healthcare services and supervise medical staff in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator.
  • Conduct sick calls and respond to emergency situations throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with custody staff to schedule daily activities ensuring access to care.
  • Manage nursing shift schedules, supervise on-duty RNs/LVNs, and oversee supply inventory and ordering.
  • Perform quality assurance audits and participate in training, onboarding, and performance evaluations of staff.


Additional Details

Must be an RN
$167,039 to $ 176,318 per year, depending on experience

EDUCATION
  • Completion of an accredited school of nursing

EXPERIENCE
  • Three (3) years of nursing experience
  • One year of supervisory or administrative experience in the nursing field
  • Previous correctional/detention facility experience preferred

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Current (and must maintain) nursing license in state of practice
  • Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHA
  • CCHP certification preferred
