Facilities Utilization Unit ManagerPosition Overview:Purchases or negotiate short and long-term real estate leases agreements for the organization's own use. Manages the proper operation and maintenance of all the organization's building and grounds. Accountable for providing optimal tenant relations to ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping for assigned office facilities at NFS in a cost-effective manner. Manage general plant utility activities to include janitorial services, maintenance of grounds, waste disposal, and pick-up and delivery of supplies.
Location:On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.
Your Day to Day as a Facilities Utilization Unit Manager:- Act as primary facilities liaison with all tenant departments.
- Develop and maintain office utilization and infrastructure long-term plans.
- Develop and/or approve facility quality standards.
- Be responsible for installation of infrastructure to manage infrastructure capacity and reporting.
- Prepare, recommend, and administer annual facility budget and provide input in negotiation of service contracts.
- Inspects prospective properties to evaluate suitability.
- Perform typical manager responsibilities requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling.
- Works with divisional and senior management to determine or estimate need for additional space.
- Perform supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Develops, monitors, and implements schedule of housekeeping activities such as janitorial, lawn and landscaping maintenance, snow and trash removal, and painting and minor repairs.
- Review completed work regularly and ensure that quality standards are met or exceeded for tenant satisfaction.
- Ensure staff receive adequate technical, administrative, and other training for proper professional development.
- Ensure that reactive and preventive maintenance activities are appropriately balanced: monitor current and deferred maintenance backlogs; coordinate within Work Management to adjust priorities and/or resources as needed and ensure that deferred maintenance is adequately documented.
- Company with tenant and NFS corporate policies (personnel, accounting, technical service, safety and health, ethical conduct, etc.). Communicate with subordinates and ensure subordinate compliance.
- Lead Project teams for remodeling or building of new office buildings.
Required Qualifications:B. S. degree -- Science or Engineering preferred or without B. S. degree, 17 years of industrial experience of which 5 must have been in a supervisory position in the nuclear industry or other equivalent formal training and work experience.
With a B. S. degree, nine to ten years' experience in an industry of which 5 must have been in a supervisory position in the nuclear industry or other equivalent formal training and work experience.
