Pay Grade: Grade 17S

Salary Range: 17S Entry Level Pay $71,439.16 to Pay Range Maximum $105,289.60

Starting Pay: $71,439.16/yr.

Salary Notes: This position is designated as a Union position. All new hires must start at the entry level rate for this role per the collective bargaining agreement/MOA with OPEIU, Local 6. Pay may advance within the salary band according to the CBA/MOU.

Notes:

  • This position is considered essential personnel in certain emergencies and may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, including staying late or coming in early.
  • The hours for this position is 7am-3pm.
  • In this position you will be responsible overseeing multiple buildings and courthouses

Position Summary: Supervises all custodial staff and related work for a number of court facilities that are grouped into a cluster, or for one stand-alone courthouse facility that does not include multiple court departments and is greater than 70,000 square feet. Coordinates installations and repairs completed within assigned facilities. Ensures building cleanliness and infrastructure integrity.

Supervision Received: Works under the direction of the Facilities Regional Manager or designee.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Ensures Courthouses are presentable to Trial Court standards and the general public.
• Provides staff supervision for maintenance for Courthouse facilities.
• Operates standard building controls and reports any system failures.
• Operates building control systems.
• Manages job request computer system.
• Completes requests by outsourced vendors and contractors.
• Manages employees and distributes job tasks and direction.
• Prepares building status and/or incident reports for Manager of Facilities as needed.
• Initiates purchase requests and receives and distributes supplies.
• Develops programs or apply for incentive programs to operate more efficient cleaning practices.
• Oversees and performs all aspects of the building including cleaning, maintenance, building systems, exterior grounds, repairs, projects and equipment.
• Maintains a safe work environment and responds to facility emergencies and supervises in house projects.
• Conducts multiple, daily walk through of buildings.
• Coordinates preventative maintenance work on the mechanical workings of the building.
• Assists with upkeep for custodial equipment as necessary.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
• At least five (5) years of related work experience, which may include time spent in an apprenticeship for a skilled trade license.
• License in a skilled trade is a plus
• Equivalent combinations of education and related experience will be considered for meeting minimum qualifications.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position serves as a supervisor to others.

Working Conditions: Work is frequently performed in office or similar indoor environments, outdoor environments, warehouses or file/storage environments and shops/facilities environments.
Work requires frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals or substances.

Physical Demands: This position requires heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
