About the RoleManages the maintenance and daily operation of all facilities utilities and facilities infrastructure supporting manufacturing cleanrooms and non-cleanrooms manufacturing areas such as HVAC, chilled water, cooling towers, vacuum pumps, boilers, fans, compressors, purified water systems, wastewater system, building management system (BMS), and others. Ensure all manufacturing areas are meeting the environmental and infrastructure requirements to maintain compliance. Manages a team consisting of facilities mechanics, utilities contractors, and / or experienced professionals in the Specialist career stream. Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations. Coordinates facilities maintenance shutdowns and utilities upgrades. Responds to facilities related emergencies affecting manufacturing areas and processes.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:- Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
- Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
- Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
- Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
- May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software.
- Functional Skills: Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance, Management Software programs (CMMS), Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, Working knowledge of maintenance operations, administrative services, contract management, security, janitorial, and grounds maintenance, Effective Communication Skills.

Benefits & CompensationMiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits packageSalary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$109,000.00 - $185,000.00
For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $121,000 - $205,000 USD.
Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
