About the Role:As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a 764,000-square-foot healthcare portfolio, with primary sites located in San Bernardino and Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will oversee all building operations and maintenance, ensuring that our facilities provide a safe, efficient, and highly functional environment for clinical care.
By balancing hands-on leadership with operational oversight, you will maintain the rigorous standards of excellence required in a healthcare setting while cultivating strong, long-term partnerships with our clients.
What You'll Do: - Direct all facility operations for a 764,000-square-foot healthcare portfolio spanning San Bernardino and Bakersfield, California.
- Travel across the portfolio at least 25% of the time, including monthly site visits to primary facilities in San Bernardino and Bakersfield.
- Lead facility compliance programs, ensuring complete readiness for Joint Commission surveys and inspections.
- Conduct regular onsite inspections to verify building performance, safety, and brand standards.
- Manage a team of 3 direct reports, including maintenance technicians and building engineers, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
- Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance, serving as the primary liaison between technical staff, vendors, and external contractors.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for operational inquiries and the resolution of complex facility issues.
- Oversee high-profile capital projects, manage operating budgets, and perform detailed financial variance analysis and reporting.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need: - Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
- Proven experience in facility management, preferably within a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and regulatory compliance, specifically Joint Commission standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, capital projects, and vendor relationships.
- The ability to travel regularly to support operations in San Bernardino and Bakersfield.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $95,000 annually [or $45.67 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $120,000 annually [or $57.69 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
