Full Job Description
What the job involves - We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our company's facilities and site services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of facilities and site-related functions, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for both employees and visitors. The Facilities Manager will play a critical role in providing excellent customer service, implementing best practices, and optimizing the utilization of resources. This is a leadership position that requires strong management skills and a proactive approach to facility and site management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the site services team, including maintenance staff, janitorial services, security personnel, and other related staff, ensuring that all site services are effectively delivered.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficient and effective site services, including facility maintenance, landscaping, security, parking, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations teams, HR, and IT, to understand business needs and align site services initiatives accordingly.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including the selection, negotiation, and oversight of service contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon standards and performance metrics.
  • Develop and manage the site services budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate service levels and customer satisfaction, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of site services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines, including emergency preparedness and response protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in site services management, identifying and implementing best practices and innovations.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of site-related projects, such as facility expansions, renovations, and relocations.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in site services management, facility management, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of facility management principles, practices, and systems, including maintenance, security, janitorial services, and landscaping.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Sound financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Professional certifications in facility management or related fields (e.g., CFM, FMP) are desirable.
