Location: New York, New York, 10016 (SE of Madison Square Park)
Work Schedule: onsite, M-F 9-5 + occasional weekends
Reports to: Sr Facilities Manager
Estimated compensation for this position is: $120,000 - $130,000 annually

What this job involves:

As a Soft Services Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional workplace experiences by overseeing all non-technical facility services. This role puts you in charge of ensuring our clients' environments are clean, welcoming, and operationally excellent every single day. You'll manage critical soft services including cleaning, catering, reception, mail services, waste management, and landscaping-orchestrating multiple service providers and internal teams to create spaces where people genuinely want to work. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Manage and coordinate all soft services operations including cleaning, catering, reception, security, mail room, waste management, and grounds maintenance across assigned facilities
  • Oversee vendor performance and service level agreements, conducting regular quality audits and implementing corrective actions to ensure consistent service excellence
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders
  • Lead and support soft services teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability while ensuring adequate staffing levels and training programs
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and client engagement meetings to assess service quality, gather feedback, and proactively address concerns before they escalate
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies across all soft services functions
  • Coordinate with hard services teams and other stakeholders to deliver integrated facility solutions and seamless service delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing service metrics, identifying trends, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency
  • Respond to emergencies and service disruptions with calm professionalism, mobilizing resources quickly to minimize impact on building occupants


Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing soft services operations in commercial, corporate, or multi-tenant environments
  • Proven track record of vendor management, contract negotiation, and service level agreement oversight
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budget development, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices for soft services
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and service providers
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience building strong client relationships and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Proficiency in facilities management software systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools


Preferred qualifications:
  • Professional certification such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP), or equivalent industry credential
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives, waste reduction programs, and green building operations
  • Background in hospitality, customer service, or workplace experience roles that emphasize user-centric service delivery
  • Familiarity with IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems) platforms and building management technologies
  • Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements and operational innovations that deliver measurable results
  • Multi-site facilities management experience with the ability to oversee geographically dispersed locations
