The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead operations at our new Kent-based facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our manufacturing and engineering spaces, supporting rapid growth while maintaining the high standards required for aerospace hardware development.

Responsibilities- Oversee all facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems maintenance
- Manage vendor relationships for maintenance, security, janitorial, and specialized services
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, fire codes, and environmental standards
- Lead facility security programs including access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols
- Plan and execute facility modifications, buildouts, and capital improvement projects
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost optimization opportunities
- Coordinate with engineering teams to support cleanroom, lab, and production environment requirements
- Manage space planning and workplace configuration to support team growth and operational needs
Basic Qualifications- Must be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by ITAR and EAR regulations (U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
- 7+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or related field
- Demonstrated experience managing complex building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and workplace safety requirements
- Experience managing vendor contracts and coordinating multiple service providers
- Budget management experience with demonstrated cost control capabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams
Preferred Qualifications- Facilities management experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments
- Experience with cleanroom operations, ESD-controlled environments, or specialized lab facilities
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification
- Experience with facility security requirements for ITAR-controlled environments
- Project management experience for facility buildouts or renovations
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Compensation and Benefits$110,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience
