Full Job Description
Become a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll supervise a team of Territorial Utilitymen focusing on the Substation Construction & Maintenance (SC&M) Facilities Maintenance program and will directly supervise Territorial Utilitymen. They will interface regularly with the Regional Maintenance Managers, Resource Planning and Performance Management Program Managers (RPPM), Safety and Environmental (SES's) and Contractors outside of SCE. They will prioritize work, schedules and structure crews with significant impact on local operations, the execution of work, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and improves project management compliance with the firm's risk management policies and procedures and requirements, managing energy delivery projects from initial customer contact through post project analysis.
  • Supports the development, maintenance, and documentation of model input data and assumptions to ensure consistent use of data.
  • Implements project staffing plans, participates in group workload planning, and assists in managing backlog and informing business unit staffing decisions.
  • Performs root cause analysis for power system failure and reviews findings with quality teams.
  • Supports the preparation of work order packages for internal and external contractor construction crews. Leads a team to derive transmission system models and integrate planning across energy delivery methods, supporting the implementation of new technologies so that productivity, customer service, and reliability targets are achieved.
  • Supervises the bid or evaluation processes which include the preparation of bid documents, completion of technical evaluations for proposals and the review and approval of recommendations for selection.
  • Oversees the maintenance of company planning models, ensuring the models accurately represent company Energy Delivery systems.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.


Minimum Qualifications

  • One or more years combined experience performing or supervising function.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of Substation or facilities maintenance experience.
  • Experience using MS Office Applications like Word and Excel.
  • Experience in effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.

  • This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
