Full Job Description
Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead a large, complex facilities maintenance operation at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This role oversees the maintenance and reliability of 150+ facilities across the airport property, leading a team responsible for critical HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems. The ideal candidate is an experienced facilities leader with strong technical knowledge, exceptional people leadership skills, and experience managing critical facilities in a large, high-demand environment.


YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead day-to-day facilities maintenance operations, including Site Supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, work order execution, staffing, productivity, safety, and contract performance.

  • Provide technical leadership across critical building systems, with particular emphasis on HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, air handling and distribution systems, pumps, and building management/control systems.

  • Oversee maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, motor controls, emergency lighting, fire alarm, access control, and related building systems.

  • Direct plumbing and water-system maintenance, including domestic water, pumping, sanitary and stormwater systems, drains, fixtures, and fire protection systems.

  • Evaluate equipment failures and maintenance issues to determine appropriate troubleshooting, internal repair capabilities, and when specialized vendor support is required.

  • Manage outside contractors and service providers, including evaluating proposed scopes of work, technical recommendations, costs, and completed work.

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team while creating a culture of accountability, safety, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a key customer-facing leader, developing strong relationships while ensuring service delivery aligns with contractual requirements and established scope.

  • Support emergency response and critical facility issues and maintain flexibility to respond outside normal business hours when operational needs require.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of facilities maintenance experience with demonstrated experience managing critical facilities maintenance services.

  • Three (3) or more years of technical experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or structural maintenance.

  • Facilities maintenance must be a primary area of professional expertise.

  • Previous supervisory or management experience leading facilities maintenance teams.

  • Strong working knowledge of major building systems, particularly HVAC and mechanical systems.

  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, maintenance priorities, and equipment troubleshooting in a large or complex facility.

  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain required airport security clearance.


STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Facilities maintenance leadership experience within a large hub airport or similarly complex, mission-critical environment.

  • Experience with aging infrastructure and complex HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, AHUs, VAV/CAV systems, DDC, EMS/BMS, and associated mechanical systems.

  • Broad technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building infrastructure.

  • Experience leading a multi-layered workforce that includes supervisors, skilled trades, technicians, and subcontractors.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex facility issues, assess vendor recommendations, and make sound technical and operational decisions.

Pay Range:

$82,900.00 - $134,300.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
