Your role at Baxter:
Provide maintenance leadership to the Facilities Maintenance Department and perform supervisory duties in absence of Superintendent [while on shift] and organizing the next shift tasks during shift passdowns. This position will provide highly technical with mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
This position will ensure that all PM and work orders are completed in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime and improve system reliability while on shift in the absence of Superintendents.
This position works closely with engineers, vendors, contractors, and customers and is considered part of the maintenance team leadership. Must be able to communicate with upper levels of plant management concerning progress of the work or special problems that would affect production or the status of critical systems.
What you'll be doing:
This is a 12 hour 2-2-3 shift schedule
Night Shift from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am
- Provide maintenance project management to mechanical and electrical system issues. Develop root cause solutions to system problems resulting in continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and direction in the absence of the Supervisor. This role will be included in the Facilities Leadership Team and will meet weekly with the FLT to maintain alignment and develop as a leader.
- Provide technical expertise and training to all mechanic levels.
- Oversee maintenance project work and coordinate the activities of mechanics.
- Hire and manage contract labor for small maintenance related projects and escalate to superintendents when unable to act independently or project exceeds $10k.
- Coordinate system shutdowns with other departments within the facility to minimize any impact to operations.
- Perform Maintenance activities including PMs, CMs, and Ems using Maximo
What you'll bring:
- Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporins.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prefer Technical School Training.
- 4+ years of prior maintenance experience with mechanical systems such as boilers, air conditioning equipment, chillers, air compressors, etc.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with water for injection is preferred.
- Experience with Baxter specifications and hardware/software control systems is desired.
- Experience with personal computers including maintenance management systems, basic Microsoft office programs.

The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
