Full Job Description
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities below pertain to all STAAR U.S. Orange County facilities:
1. Manage and oversee maintenance of facilities, equipment, security and EHS programs
2. Ensure facilities & equipment are well-maintained and all facility & equipment maintenance is performed in accordance with procedures and schedules
3. Lead facility space and layout planning
4. Lead facility improvement projects and construction
5. Plan and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations
6. Plan and implement programs to train STAAR personnel as well as contractors in worksite safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment and other materials
7. Lead facilities and equipment elements of Business Continuity Plan as defined
8. Develop, implement and maintain a hazardous materials communications program
9. Develop and submitting yearly operating budgets and managing spending within budget constraints - Continually review cost reduction opportunities
10. Interface with regulatory authorities relevant to areas of responsibility
11. Ability to manage a team of direct reports
12. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
EXPERIENCE
• Preferred 5 years' experience in facilities management and/or manufacturing process support
• GMP/ISO quality system environment required
• Clean room construction and maintenance required
• Experience with security, environmental health and safety a plus
• Applied knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma a plus
SKILLS
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to prioritize and manage several projects at once
• Knowledge of California State, Federal (OSHA), safety and haz-mat regulations
• Demonstrated project management capability
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good Team Building/Interpersonal skills
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Pay range: $100K - $140K - Final compensation/salary will depend on experience.
