Facilities Engineer at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center- Multiple positions and shifts available.

The Facilities Engineer supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment. They must possess a working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform the duties of a stationary engineer and maintenance electrician, while also continuously developing knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Stationary engineer apprenticeship or
    • Electrician apprenticeship and equivalent training or work experience.
  • Upon hire: National Electrician Supervisor License - State County City Trade License Authority or
    • Upon hire: National Electrician Journeyman License - State County City Trade License Authority or
    • Upon hire: National Electrician Limited Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority or
    • Upon hire: National Electrician Limited Building Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Computerized building management systems (DDC) or equivalent education/experience.
  • Upon hire: EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification
  • Upon hire: ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification
  • Upon hire: OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification
  • Upon hire: Oregon Boiler License - Class 2 or higher
  • Experience in central plant operations and maintenance.
  • Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
