Position Summary:Amkor Technology Arizona is seeking an experiencedBIM/CAD Engineer, responsible for supporting the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of facility infrastructure through VDC/BIM/CAD software. This role serves as the facility owner's representative for CAD deliverables and provides coordination between engineering disciplines, construction teams, equipment suppliers, and facility operations.
Responsibilities will evolve throughout the project lifecycle, ranging from design and construction coordination to as-built documentation management, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to each phase.
Job Responsibilities:- Establish Amkor's BIM/CAD database from consultant design documents
- Support office space planning and associated CAD help.
- collaborate with tool install designer, oversee design standards, tool layouts, update the database as the design progresses.
- Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and facility engineers to ensure BIM and CAD standards are consistently implemented.
- Review and coordinate multidisciplinary models, drawings, and construction documents for facility infrastructure systems.
- Manage BIM execution plans, model development standards, and project data requirements.
- Support design reviews and constructability assessments using 3D models and VDC tools.
- Perform model coordination and clash detection activities to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Monitor construction progress and validate installation against approved models and drawings.
- Support commissioning and startup activities through model verification and documentation management.
- Manage facility BIM models, CAD drawings, and digital asset information throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate updates to as-built models and drawings following construction and system modifications.
- Develop and maintain a centralized repository for engineering drawings, facility records, and digital documentation.
- Support facility operations by providing accurate infrastructure models, utility routing information, and equipment data.
- Coordinate semiconductor tool hook-up layouts and utility infrastructure integration within facility models.
- Develop and maintain space management, equipment location, and facility asset databases, construction packages, and engineering documentation for facility projects.
- Support capital projects, facility expansions, and infrastructure modifications through modeling and design coordination.
- Partner with engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, process, controls, UPW, wastewater, gas and chemical, and fire protection teams.
- Maintain drawing standards, document control processes, and BIM execution procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, project requirements, and industry best practices for BIM and CAD management.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or associate degree in CAD
- 3+ years of experience in Revit BIM, VDC, AutoCAD, design coordination, or construction engineering, preferably in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data center, or industrial facilities.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM/VDC software platforms.
- Experience with model federation, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong understanding of facility infrastructure systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and utility systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with BIM execution plans, project data management, and document control processes.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, LOD 100+, AutoCAD
- Semiconductor facility experience is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements- Ability to work in various weather conditions and awkward positions.
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and adjust heavy objects.
- Exposure to sharp, hot, and cold equipment.
- Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at elevation, and in confined spaces with PPE.
- Ability to conduct field verification activities in active construction and manufacturing environments.
Location: This position will be based at the Peoria, AZ site, working from temporary offices during the construction phase and transitioning to the facility upon the start of factory operations.
