Summary/Objective:Responsible for managing and developing companywide structural steel fabrication coatings and design at a large commercial and industrial contractor. Trades and services include engineering and design for structural steel, blast, paint, manufacturing, and modular assembly.

Supervisory Responsibility: No
Required:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience in structural design and manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge of the building construction processes, and the various building components involved at each stage of construction
- Advanced understanding of trade detailing, design workflows and practices.
- Experience in managing problem focused solution-implementation from pilot through company-wide adoption as applied toward construction technologies.
- Understanding of Tekla, Pronest, Solidworks, Cadworx, Plant 3D (or comparable software) is a plus.
- Possess the ability and willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
- Must possess creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures.

Work Environment:- Works in a professional office and shop environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Position will require occasional visits to construction sites.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness when visiting projects.
- May be exposed to moderate/high noise levels when in work areas when visiting projects.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust in work areas.
Physical Demands:- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Be able to sit for long periods of time while working on a computer.
- While troubleshooting CNC automated software for equipment, this role may be standing/walking for long periods and may on occasion use small hand tools.
- Frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, use tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Travel:- May require infrequent travel (typically not overnight)
Preferred:- Prior military experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or similar field with emphasis on technology
