About the role:

As a Fab and Install Team Manager, you will oversee and direct electrical construction personnel. You will also oversee contract work tasks and contract personnel to ensure contractor adherence to Westinghouse contract requirements, plans, specifications, industrial and safety standards. Manage resource demand process to ensure the appropriate resources are utilized to support project and facility needs.

You will report to the Fab and Install Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote that our overriding priority is to protect our employees, the public, and the environment
  • Ensure F&I and contractor personnel understand and comply with our core Nuclear Safety Culture principles, including prioritizing industrial, criticality, chemical, radiological and environmental safety
  • Set daily operational goals for the mechanical and electrical Fabrication and Installation teams
  • Ensure that direct reports understand applicable policies.
  • Coordinate scheduling of projects, scheduling of resources, task walkdowns with Work Management
  • Manage F&I craft use and billable hours with a focus on controlling costs and maintaining budget cost neutral
  • Be the single contact for individuals requesting contractor support
  • Manage contractor support request process to ensure use of contract labor
  • Monitor external contractor(s) for compliance with site programs and procedures
  • Immediately correct unacceptable behavior or contractor non-conformance issues
  • Manage contractor use to maximize efficiency and minimize spend, ensure that you correctly assign contract labor.
  • Maintain oversight of the contractor costing charging, ensuring visibility and clear understanding of contractor invoices
  • Maintain appropriate reports to validate safety, craft use, task delivery and cost performance
  • Manage ADP time sheets


Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience as a manager or supervisor in a manufacturing or a production facility.
  • Fabrication and installation management experience
  • Experience with employee relations policies, industry standards, quality requirements and environmental/safety regulations.
  • Experience with maintenance processes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of technical requirements for maintenance and facilities.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental standards related to construction and maintenance operations.
  • Experience managing construction/craft
  • Understanding of all facets of the plant construction and modification process
  • Familiarity with scheduling methods
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management skills


We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
