Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Training Operations Manager (TOM) to support and lead F 35 training operations in Kleine Brogel, Belgium. The selected candidate will manage and execute daily F-35 training operations team activities, support Belgium Air Force (BAF) military pilots to maintain qualification levels using Full Mission Simulators (FMSims) and other F-35 Pilot Training Devices (PTDs), and assist to execute customer-approved pilot training syllabi, upgrades, and tactics training. The instructor will operate the Instructor Operating Station (IOS) and be an F-35 Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting pilot training and tactics development, as well as recommendations for courseware updates.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F-35 training and continuation training objectives. They will also implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed. The candidate must maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access. They must also possess an appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Primary duties include
• Build, coordinate and schedule daily training related activities and manage all permanent party and visiting RMS personnel.
• Manage personnel hiring actions, logistical coordination for base access and badging (IVRs), Visit Access Requests (VARs), SOU U/SOU C access, lodging, and site integration.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly coordination with the BAF to merge training priorities into a coherent, executable schedule to support customer needs and ensure contract obligations are fulfilled.
• Oversee continuous training (CT) and formal syllabi course preparation, including Scenario Generation development for all training missions, briefing guides updates, and that other instructional materials are converted to BAF standards.
• Coordinate with BAF Training and Standardization & Evaluation personnel to ensure proper training flow and execution of customer training programs, including syllabus adherence, instructor availability, and grade sheet completion.
• Manage and assist in the maintenance and advancement of the site's training devices, including courseware and IT equipment arrival and integration, hardware and software installs, configuration management, audits and related activities, as directed by the RMS Enterprise team.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide performance feedback and discuss career goals and development with employees.
• Assist in preparing training and maintenance schedules, maintain personnel training records, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Evaluate and track students from course start through graduation.
• closely with other Lockheed Martin team members at additional training sites to meet F-35 schoolhouse and continuation-training objectives.
• Support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed.
• Provide the designated customer representative a proposed "30-90-day" plan for PTD utilization, including scheduled maintenance downtime, for approval.
• Sortie Completion & Readiness Reporting (SCAR) - Submit accurate daily and weekly training and device information in a timely manner.
• Position may require rotating shifts, work in excess of 40 hours, and flexible coverage for on-site customer requirements.
• Typically represented by an experienced pilot.
• Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

Accompanied Status Available: New hires may have qualifying dependents accompany them on their long-term overseas assignment.

Basic Qualifications
• Candidate must have an active secret clearance with final adjudication within the last five years, and be able to qualify for, acquire, and hold a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Candidate should have flight time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of military publications and an understanding of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft training operations.
• Candidate must have prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training, and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and stakeholders from varied backgrounds.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and extensive professional experience in managing operations personnel supporting customer mission readiness at dedicated training and operational installations.
• Must be a proven leader with management style aligned to LM core values and Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives.
• Must have experience in evaluating personnel's performance and in completing performance appraisals.
• Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
• Four year degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with the assignment.
• Deployment and continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin's training locations prior to the international assignment.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $139,600 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
