The External Manufacturing Account Manager is the end-to-end value stream owner of the Bronch Instruments and Accessories (I&A) Supply Chain and Manufacturing for the Monarch Bronchoscopy Robotic System. This role manages key accounts to support the manufacturing operations globally.

The External Manufacturing Account manager is the voice of Supply Chain and Manufacturing for their assigned subsystem(s) and partners with R&D, PMO, Quality, Sourcing and other stakeholders in prioritization and cross-functional tradeoff decisions. The role serves as the default point of alignment and escalation for I&A Supply Chain matters while enabling direct collaboration among the teams responsible for execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own key account management for our Costa Rica external manufacturing partnership.
  • Own communication governance with multiple external manufacturers to enhance scale-up, line performance and product reliability.
  • Drive change management daily with supplier change notification process utilizing direct report account lead to support changes with supplier quality partners.
  • Be the first line of escalation for quality/cost/ business continuity issue resolution with key global accounts.
  • Lead SCAPA/CAPA teams for investigations related to technical manufacturing defects using failure analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Management of lifecycle management changes with key accounts using project management tools/software (Jira/Smartsheets/Microsoft Project/Gantt Charts etc).
  • Support supplier negotiations using a data driven approach.
  • Mentor/coach Account Leads and Sustaining Engineers in technical areas related to Catheter/Endoscope Manufacturing/Equipment process issue resolution.
  • Line transfer lead from internal manufacturing to external manufacturing partner for future lifecycle iterations.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Biomerics Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, Science or a related field.


Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in catheter manufacturing, extrusion manufacturing, equipment development, product management, program management, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, or related functions supporting complex hardware products, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive manufacturing, supply chain, product, and/or lifecycle strategies.
  • Experience in supplier management and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives spanning product development, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and commercial operations.
  • Background in NPI product launch and supply chain readiness.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance short-term operational needs against long-term product and supply chain objectives.
  • Experience making and influencing tradeoff decisions involving cost, quality, manufacturability, supply continuity, scalability, and product performance.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across organizations without direct authority.
  • FPX certified, Project Management certified, or equivalent work experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
  • Experience managing remote employees


Preferred:
  • Relevant advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent).
  • Experience in medical devices, robotics, endoscope manufacturing, or other highly regulated and complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience as a Product Manager, Value Stream Leader, Manufacturing Leader, Supply Chain Leader, Commodity Manager, NPI Leader, or similar role with end-to-end ownership responsibilities.
  • Deep understanding of CFR.21, ISO 13485 and other applicable medical device regulatory and quality standards.
  • Experience developing manufacturing network, sourcing, supplier, make-versus-buy, or capacity strategies for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Expertise in design transfer, design controls, supplier change management, configuration management, and regulated product development processes.
  • Experience with software development, validation and deployment processes.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through significant product, supplier, manufacturing, or lifecycle transitions.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
  • APICs certified in Supplier Management


Other:
  • Proficiency in Spanish prefered not required.
  • 33-50% travel domestic and international. Primary international travel located in Costa Rica and Mexico.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$118,000.00 - $203,550.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
