Responsibilities - Lead, plan and operationalize PR strategies for significant POps policy or program changes, and sensitive employment matters, in direct partnership with the relevant leadership teams.
- Execute the external strategy for the Chief People Officer and her immediate leadership team.
- Develop high-quality, clear, accessible communication materials (e.g., talking points, external statements, FAQs, and more) for executives and managers across the company to educate and enable them to address a variety of People-focused topics.
- Identify opportunities and challenges related to external strategy and communication across xWS areas, devise recommendations, and execute on recommended plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with Google beat reporters and key workplace reporters to influence stories and defend Google's brand. Manage tricky news cycles about People issues at Google, including setting internal expectations.
