Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Developer who has a strong development background and is enthusiastic about leading development teams to enhance and streamline our existing communication applications as well as increase our efficiency through tooling enhancements, process improvements and overall platform modernization. You will be specifically responsible for leading the developmenteffort on OpenText Exstream and Distributed application for the respective platform, implementing, administering, and maturing our OpenText Exstream design and run-time environments The role will focus on the following areas:• Lead all aspects of Development on Distributed applications and OpenText Exstream basedcustomer communications management platforms.• Executing – Build and release coordination, deployment tactics, and issue management.• Process Improvement/Automation – Tool/feature adoption and improvements, processautomation and innovation.• Risk Assessment – Code review and approval processes, scope management, and deliveryquality.• Coordination with Product managers and stakeholders for technical solutions to support theProduct roadmap• Lead and provide technical guidance to geographically dispersed tech team to design anddeliver solutions• Design scalable solutions for ultra high-volume applications What you have Required Qualifications o Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering OR related degree and/or practical experienceo Professional level expertise on OpenText Exstream suite of products and CustomerCommunications Management systemsSound knowledge and understanding of AI including using and ccreating agents to manageworkflow taskso Professional level Java web and service development skills, typically built through 8+ yearsof applicable experience developing in Java/Springo Experience participating as a member of a scrum team in an agile environment.o Experience with Distributed applications, Unix, Shell scripting and batch applicationso Experience with CCM best practices in both digital (web, email, SMS, mobile) andtraditional (print) delivery channels, including design considerations for both (ex. dynamic contentscaling on mobile, real-time vs. batch delivery by channel, considerations for print/insertionoperational efficiencies, etc.)o Strong understanding of high-volume batch processing, job scheduling, horizontal andvertical scaling concepts, and best practices.o Experience with CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins/Bamboo etc. and Source code repositorieslike Git, Bitbucket etc. o 1 year of Schwab technology domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee• Strong communication skills:o Ability to engage in synergetic application and platform architecture design sessionso Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.o Enthusiastic relationship builder: ability to partner multi-functionally and work efficientlywith different levels and functions within an organization.o Experienced in working with/leading Geographically dispersed team that operates across time zones Preferred Qualifications • Experience with leading development on OpenText Exstream, Customer CommunicationManagement Systems and document rendering• Experience implementing various input/reference/connector formats supported by theExstream product, including but not limited to - Flat files, XML, MQ, SOAP, JSON, ODBC/JDBC,Custom DDA implementations• Experience implementing and detailed structural troubleshooting of various multi/omni-channel output formats, including but not limited to - AFP, PDF, XML, HTML5• Experience with frameworks such as Java, Java Core, Spring• Experience with distributed multi-tier applications, WMI, NoSQL databases, MongoDBand/or SQL is preferred• Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems• Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a plus• Understanding of Control-M, legacy and Mainframe based applications is a plus▪ Adjusts written tone and style effectively for diverse readers Job Sub-Family Specific Competencies▪ Analytical Thinking - Approaching a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach▪ Software Design and Specifications - Developing software solutions that meet requirements usingestablished design principles and standards, employing predictive or adaptive design techniques,including plan-driven or iterative/agile approaches▪ Software Development - Implementing standards, processes, and methods to create, test, and verifysoftware components, ensuring reliability and resolving operational problems and bugs▪ Oral Communication – Expressing oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others▪ Forward Thinking – Anticipating consequences of situations and taking appropriate action to beprepared for possible contingencies
