Full Job Description
The Role
Supports Program Management Office (PMO) functions by tracking deliverables, maintaining documentation, supporting business process analysis, and ensuring alignment with IT lifecycle and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
Location and Schedule
Customer site in the Washington DC Metropolitan area
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
The Main Responsibilities
• Track, monitor, and provide status updates on program and project deliverables to ensure timelines and commitments are met.
• Apply established processes to ensure data accuracy, currency, validity, and relevance across PMO artifacts and reporting.
• Maintain a centralized library of PMO documents and develop standardized templates for both technical and management use.
• Support project, program, and portfolio-level activities including process analysis, mapping, optimization, reporting, market research, and internal communications.
• Translate business processes into actionable workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools to enhance visibility and decision-making.
• Update and maintain organizational IT lifecycle documentation supporting Agile methodologies.
• Define, develop, and maintain engineering (SDLC) artifacts, architecture standards, and governance processes. Provide oversight for Enterprise SDLC reviews, including change management activities.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Clearance Level TS/SCI with polygraph
Education
• High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of relevant experience within the last 15 years OR
• Associate's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience within the last 15 years OR
• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience within the last 15 years OR
• Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience within the last 15 years OR
• PhD and 4 years of relevant experience within the last 15 years
Experience
• Experience with tracking, monitoring and updating status of program deliverables
• Experience with application of processes to ensure data currency, validity, and relevance
• Experience maintaining library of PMO documents, build a repository of project templates for both technical and management to support the Project Managers
• Experience supporting project, program and portfolio-level business process analysis, mapping, improvements, reporting, market research and internal outreach and communications
• Experience translating business processes into workflows and dashboards
• Experience updating and keeping current organizational IT lifecycle documentation and supporting materials pertaining to both Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies - engage in defining, developing and keeping current engineering (SDLC) and architecture artifacts and standard; providing oversight of Enterprise SDLC reviews, including change management to ensure compliance with standards and required guidance
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$145,456 - $193,940 in these states: WA
