ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an Expert-Level GEOINT Integrator with extensive experience across the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) lifecycle—including Architecture, Requirements, CONOPS, Integration, Test, and Transition—to support enterprise transformation initiatives spanning GEOINT mission systems and programs.
The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of NGA and Mission Partner GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) architecture and brings a strategic mindset to enterprise engineering, technical planning, and cross-organizational integration efforts. This role is critical to modernizing GEOINT architectures, advancing mission capabilities, and driving adoption of emerging technologies and digital engineering practices.
As part of the Enterprise Engineering & Architecture Division’s Integration Team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the customer, helping shape future-state architectures, mitigate integration risks, and guide technology adoption initiatives—including AI—to enhance SE&I processes and GEOINT mission capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Engineering
- Guide architecture gap analyses and support development of the Future State Enterprise Architecture.
- Lead engineering analyses that inform GEOINT mission and IT investment decisions aligned to the Enterprise Architecture baseline.
- Oversee baseline analyses and ensure allocation and end-to-end traceability of requirements, architectures, interfaces, and programs.
- Capture and translate mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and solutions.
- Develop integrated project plans, target-state architectures, CONOPS, roadmaps, epics, and requirements.
Systems Integration & Technical Leadership
- Provide technical oversight across NGA Program Executive Offices (PEOs), ensuring synchronization of activities and documentation of enterprise baselines.
- Lead high-visibility, end-to-end integration projects between NGA and Mission Partners, from planning through Transition to Operations (TTO).
- Leverage knowledge of the Joint Enterprise Ground and Space Architecture to drive cross-organizational integration efforts.
- Establish strong partnerships across organizations and facilitate integrated project teams.
- Lead development of engineering artifacts, schedules, risk documentation, and project plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers on future architectures, integration risks, and modernization initiatives.
Engineering Analysis & Strategic Planning
- Lead and guide complex:
- Architecture Gap Analyses
- Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
- Courses of Action (COAs)
- Trade Studies
- Engineering Assessments
- Enterprise Requirements Analyses
- Develop recommendations that inform enterprise investment decisions, including system consolidation and divestiture strategies.
- Provide thought leadership by identifying opportunities to expand team scope and defining project plans, deliverables, and execution timelines.
Digital Engineering & Modernization
- Drive adoption of Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
- Modernize engineering processes and products to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Define and implement modernized system integration processes.
- Champion adoption of Agile methodologies, Digital Engineering, MBSE, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Develop implementation plans and scale prototype SE&I analysis tools and capabilities to the enterprise level.
- Work within NGA's Digital Engineering Environment to improve engineering collaboration and execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and participate in Integrated Project Teams supporting modernization initiatives across:
- Analytic
- Collection Management
- Data Services
- Foundation GEOINT
- Information Technology
- Ensure integrated solutions and coordinated capability delivery across multiple organizations and agencies.
- Participate in NGA Governance, Configuration Management, and Risk Management processes.
- Mentor senior, mid-level, and junior engineers and integrators, providing technical guidance and leadership.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent 18 years' expert-level experience as a Lead Integrator may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 18+ years' experience in engineering, design, and analysis of IT or related systems across all phases of design, development, analysis, documentation, and standards development.
- Expert-level experience working within government or industry environments involving the DoD/IC Acquisition Process or PPBES.
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
Desired Qualifications
- Significant experience and working knowledge of GEOINT TCPED architecture, including data providers, systems, services, interfaces, and data flows.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
- Experience supporting transformational initiatives such as Artificial Intelligence, multi-cloud environments, and edge node technologies.
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification(s).
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, processes, tools, and languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven technical mentorship capabilities.
- Significant experience leading integrated project teams across multiple organizations and agencies.
Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
