The Work:
The specific details of an Experiential Design Associate Manager’s role do vary, but common activities include:
Working collaboratively with a team, from concepting, to design, through to production
Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
Cooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media
Executing a broad range of creative assets, such as:
Creating architectural/CAD drawings and renders
Creating Production packs to be handed to production partners as a guide for their final design output
Source furniture rentals, furniture purchases, props etc
Working with graphic designers to create large format print files
Digital assets (web banners, social media assets, etc.)
Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
Present completed ideas to team members
Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
Brainstorming environmental design ideas with colleagues
Interacting with internal marketing clients and other members of the team
Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best work is released to the client
Here's what you need:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experiential / 3D design experience
A minimum of 5 years experience SketchUp or similar 3D tools (AutoCAD, Cinema 4D, etc.)and Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint
A minimum of 2 years experience with prompting AI models as they develop, such as: Claude, Gemini, Chat GPT Midjourney and Runway MLH
Bonus points if:
Has an extensive understanding of fabrication best practices and a familiarity with the realities of production in the built environment and material limitations
Strong understanding of how real and virtual space combine. With experience on how to combine environmental, graphic and content design to engage a varied and C-suite audience
Has strong familiarity with best practices in designing branded environments, exhibit booths, exhibitions/public art, multimedia/interactive/immersive installations including but not limited to video mapping, AR/VR/XR, wayfinding systems, venue buildouts and augmenting existing venues with existing decor like restaurants.
Is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
Confidence to work independently and flexible to work in a group
Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio
Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
A positive attitude as multiple stakeholders weigh in on the work
The foresight to put themselves in the shoes of the user
Meticulous attention to detail
