As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Mechanical Engineer at our office location in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities include: - Lead and provide technical guidance to mechanical project teams
- Attend client meetings, ensuring project objectives are met
- Oversee construction phase services with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and learning
- Contribute to business development efforts with innovative solutions
- Other tasks as assigned
A valid driver's license and approximately 25% travel to military bases and airports as part of lead mechanical engineer role.
The successful candidate must have all the following:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
- PE license in any state and have the ability to obtain in additional states as needed
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:- Expertise in many mechanical system types, such as hot water, chilled water, condenser water systems, VAV, Geothermal, VRF systems, DDC control systems
- Experience in sustainable design, steam systems, commissioning services, and plumbing systems
- Proven track record as lead mechanical engineer on projects
- Experience in designing mechanical systems for Federal Government projects
- Commitment to sustainable design and innovation
- Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors
